Through the discipline of anthropology we can better understand where we've been where we are going and learn to celebrate all of our similarities and differences.
I received my Masters in Anthropology from UC Davis in 2004. Since then, I have taught at many community colleges in Northern California. I was hired as a full-time Anthropology instructor at College of Marin in 2010. I began teaching online about 3 years ago. I love teaching online because of the flexibility it gives you, my students and me! When I am not working you can find me running my dogs around Healdsburg and enjoying the local food and drink!

Tips for Success in my Online Classes
No mandatory campus visits are required to take my online courses. The courses unfold week-by-week with the whole class participating in weekly readings, quizzes and discussions together. Students enrolled in my courses should expect to spend about 6-9 hours a week on the course, so plan on logging into the class 2-3 times each week to participate and complete coursework.
A new week of course content with readings, quizzes discussions and occasional assignments are made available every Monday by 12 am. Though I expect us to move through the class material each week as a group, I will open up course material one week in advance to allow for a little bit more flexibility in working ahead. There is one general deadline. All work is due on Mondays at 11 pm.
I love my job, the discipline of Anthropology and all that it can elucidate about human adaptations and behavior, and I am very excited about giving you a new perspective on yourself and your fellow humans!
