Sandy Boyd

I’ve been at College of Marin for almost 23 years; first as a dean, then an interim vice president and then as faculty.  I have taught in several disciplines, but right now I’m teaching coursework in Administration of Justice, Education and Work Experience.

I’m a native Californian, born and raised in San Francisco and living in Marin for over 40 years.  My husband is retired and enjoying life and we have 3 grown children and a new grandson, who was the best Christmas present ever.

Tips for Success in my Online Courses

It is extremely important that you show you are present the first week of class by participating in a discussion.  Think of this as being in class the first day, as if we were face- to-face.  The other thing is to keep in touch with me, no matter what.  We all have things that happen, but letting me know right away will reserve your place in class.  To contact me, use the inbox and messaging feature in Canvas or messaging in Moodle.

Additional Information

I am on campus Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 to 10 AM.  I am usually around more than that, but you can always find me in my office (FH 103) at those times.  I am also available for appointments that might work better for your schedule.
