My life’s work has been to apply mathematics to a wide range of physical science and business problems and to communicate and teach to others how it all works. I have loved mathematics from the start and there is no better feeling than to inspire the next generation of students to learn and appreciate the amazing world of thinking with mathematics.
I have my Ph.D. in High Energy Physics from Stanford University and have worked in many different fields where critical thinking—synthesizing the abstract with the tangible—has been the key to innovation and progress.
It has been a privilege to teach Intermediate Algebra, Calculus and Statistics at the College of Marin. The diversity of students is amazing, and my job is to reach and empower all students to succeed. If a student wants to learn, I can teach them!

Tips for Success in my Online Classes
Be sure to carefully read the Course Welcome Letter you will receive the week before the start of the term. You must login to the course on the first day of class! Study the syllabus carefully. Be meticulous about homework—it’s how Statistics is practiced, and practice will make you perfect. Ok, maybe not perfect, but if you are sincerely committed to homework, you will be very pleased with the outcome of the class.
I look forward to meeting and sharing the teaching experience with you online!
