Crystal Martinez

Crystal Martinez, a longtime resident of Marin County, is deeply invested in her community. Her active participation in a range of boards and organizations underscores her firm commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of women, youth, and the pursuit of equal opportunities for all residents. During her tenure on the Marin Women's Commission, she actively promoted gender policy and advocacy and was instrumental in successfully organizing the Marin Teen Girl Conference and Ambassador program, a meaningful initiative aimed at empowering young girls within the county. As a board member of Marin Court Appointed Special Advocates, she worked hard towards the goal of ensuring that every child lives in a safe, permanent and supportive home. 

In her current position as a Legislative Aide to the Marin County Board of Supervisors, Crystal leads significant initiatives such as the award-winning Marin County Restrictive Covenant Project which aims to educate residents about the impacts of redlining past and present. Additionally, her diverse engagement also extends to key areas such as Tribal Engagement and advancing equitable initiatives. 

Crystal has first-hand knowledge of the value of a college education. She attended community college herself while working full-time and now holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Business Analytics from Dominican University of California.
