Khadija Nakhuda graduated from Tamalpais High school in 2019 and has attended College of Marin for the past year. This past year, Khadija has been an auxiliary member for ASCOM and a PR/Marketing representative for the transfer club. Khadija also has been and continues to be, an active member of the MAPS learning community, on the College of Marin campus. She plans to major in nursing and volunteers in the post-surgery unit, at Marin Health. Khadija has always been passionate about advocating for people of color and underrepresented groups. She was involved in a leadership camp called RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award), Rotary Interact, and SOAR (Students Organized Against Racism). These organizations all align with Khadija’s views of advocacy and equity. She strives to bring these values into her position, as an elected student trustee, as she serves on the College of Marin Board of Trustees.
